Sushi-trainings at Howard Johnson Grand Plaza
With its 7-year history on the Bucharest culinary scene, Benihana has become a landmark for the lovers of Japanese cuisine, standing out through its unique mix of tradition and innovation and through the already famous eatertainment concept (excellent food and entertainment in one place). Our Asian chefs know only too well that a dinner at Benihana is about much more than just the food and the drinks. A dinner at Benihana is a magical combination of story-telling, show and cultural experience.
The sushi trainings organized at Benihana Restaurant incorporate all these elements: they are fun and entertaining, but are also accompanied by stories and cultural samples from Japan. The participants are trained to work with various types of fish and seafood (tuna, salmon, octopus and roe), as well as with algae and, of course, with rice, preparing in the end a rich variety of sushi, sashimi and maki. The food-preparation is accompanied by a theoretical guide which introduces the students to the varieties of sushi, sashimi and maki.
Sushi-training courses are organized on request for groups up to 25 persons and last, on average, 3 - 4 hours. Course-attendants are given full equipment (sushi kit, personalized apron, theoretical guide and recipe-booklet) and are permanently assisted by specialized staff.
