On May 29th 2007, at the Elisabeta Palace, excellence in hospitalityservices became synonymous with 26 names of Romanian managers in thefield, among which those of three Howard Johnson representatives:

Mihai Ene, Director of Rooms Division

The Royal Foundation of Hospitality Management, in cooperation withEcole Hoteliere of Lausanne (EHL), Switzerland, under the HighPatronage of the Romanian Royal Hpuse, initiated in 2006 thePostgraduate Diploma in Hospitality Management Program. During the 12week-long modules imparted by renowned EHL professors as well as bylocal lecturers with a vast experience in the field, the participantswere given the opportunity to understand and apply modern managementmethods, to discuss good practice models in the hospitality industryand to explore ways to apply these procedures at local level. Workingmethods ranged from practical workshops and case studies to field tripsto hotels in Romania and Switzerland and were completed by finalprojects drawing on concrete situations.

The alumni of this program will have the opportunity to join an eliteclub of the Lausanne school graduates as associate members, as well asthe Alumni Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne (AEHL), counting over 7000active members from over 100 countries, managers fromthe mostprestigious hotels all over the world.
