Autograph your events at Grand Plaza Forum


Tuesday, the 5th of July 2005- under the concept "Autograph your events", the launching of the newest conference center in Bucharest- the Grand Plaza Forum, took place. The launching brought together 150 event organizers from the advertising and tourism fields, but also customers and media representatives.

"The conference center started to operate on the market one year ago, but we are presenting it to you now under a new identity- Grand Plaza Forum- and we will promote it under the concept- Autograph your events- that will clearly differentiate it from our competition", sais Sonia Nastase, Sales & Marketing Manager of Howard Johnson Grand Plaza Hotel.

The launching concept " Autograph your events" is emphasizing the alternative provided to the event organizers to put their creativity at work and set up unique events, "under author's signature", assisted by the banqueting team, hotel's cooks and the technical facilities offered by the new conference center.

The launching party began in Platinum Grand Ballroom, and afterwards the guests visited all the Conference Rooms of Grand Plaza Forum, especially prepared for the event.

Iridium Grand Ballroom, the latest Conference Room of the Center was the last stop of the tour. Here, the guests had the opportunity to visualize different set-ups for banquet tables, but also to taste the exquisite food prepared by Chef Henrik Sebok and Pastry Chef Fabrice Perrin.

Andi Moisescu hosted the event, and a group of young actors, leaded by the actress Stefana Samfira performed a pantomime show suggesting the humorous side of event organizing.

Situated inside the Howard Johnson Grand Plaza Hotel, the Grand Plaza Forum Conference center adds up 2000 square meters and can gather 1000 guests under its roof.

Grand Plaza Forum brings together two ballrooms- Platinum and Iridium- with a capacity of 300 persons each, but also other 7 conference rooms that can host 15 to 90 persons.

The nine conference rooms can also host seminars, workshops, product launch and press conferences but also fashion shows and weddings.

The Conference Center of Howard Johnson Grand Plaza Hotel is an important revenue center, which brought 800.000 euros from the operations in the last nine months of the last year. For this year these revenues are estimated to reach 1,5 million euros taking into account the increase in capacity, given the opening of Iridium Grand Ballroom, but also due to the expected increase for this year on the event organizing market.
