For the first 6 months of the year 2006 Howard Johnson Grand Plaza Hotel registered revenues close to 6 million Euros, this meaning a revenue increase with 9% against the first half of the last year.

The increase derives as from the accommodation, as especially from the banqueting events and food & beverage activities, in the situation that against the first half of the last year, at the present time, the hotel benefits a new ball room, Iridium Grand Ball Room and a pastry shop ? Centro Pastry Shop.

The hotel occupancy rate was about 62% for the first half of this year. Both the occupancy rate and the incomes increased at all most all the client segments, less the leisure segment (tourists) which encountered a small decrease.

Opened in February 2004, Howard Johnson Grand Plaza is the newest and the modernist five-star hotel in Bucharest. Located in Romana Square, the hotel has 18 floors with 285 rooms and suites. Grand Plaza Forum with its 9 conference rooms, equipped with state-of-the art audio-visual and communication facilities can accommodate around 1000 guests.
